Special Generation

Special Generation were an American new jack swing/urban R&B quintet that was the brainchild of M.C. Hammer. They sang backup on several of his recordings before becoming major recording artists in their own right in early 1990. That same year, their debut album, Take It To The Floor,[1] was released and did well in the music/recording industry thanks to the ballad single "Love Me Just For Me" and the mid-tempo R&B top ten hit "Spark of Love". They got help from a former Troop member on their second album, Butterflies (1993).
